Work hours during COVID-19

During COVID-19, my workload increased: teaching online and changing my courses to this format took a lot of time and effort, there’s more need for pastoral care for students, and admin and service responsibilities are taking up more time as budget cuts mean less supportive staff. When we were are on lockdown at home, I had no childcare and could work less hours, but once my mother-in-law stepped up, I saw my work hours increase. I’ve started to add in time in the early morning, at nights, and on the weekend – all leading to work creep.
